How to Play
Super Pig dreams of leaving the farm. Fire him out of the cannon, then bounce from platform to platform to climb through the sky, out into space and past every planet until he leaves the solar system. Gravity always pulls him back. If he misses a platform he keeps falling, back down past everything he climbed. Catch a platform while he is still falling slowly and he bounces back up. Once he is tumbling fast he smashes straight through normal platforms, and only a trampoline, a Super P pad, rocket boots or a bubble shield can save him. A platform only saves him if there is still a way to climb higher than he has been. If the platforms he needs have all broken, it's "NO WAY UP!": he falls all the way back to Earth, smashing through everything, and the run ends.
- Launch: a power meter swings next to the cannon. Tap, click or press Space when the marker is near the top for a perfect shot.
- Phone / tablet: hold your finger on the screen and the pig moves toward it. Hold the 🚀 BOOST button to fire your rocket boots (after you buy them).
- Computer: move the mouse, or use ← → / A D to steer. Hold Space or ↑ to boost. P pauses, M mutes all sound and N turns the music on or off.
- The pig bounces automatically when he lands on a platform while falling. He passes through platforms on the way up.
- The sides of the screen are walls: he can't fly off one side and come back on the other.
Platforms
- Normal: a regular bounce. They look different on every level: planks, clouds, satellite panels, moon rock, ice and star crystals.
- Trampoline: bounces you about twice as high.
- Super P pad (red pad with Super Pig's gold P emblem): a huge launch, about five times higher. The Super P Pad upgrade makes it launch even higher.
- Cracked: holds you for one bounce, then crumbles away.
- Moving (arrows on the ends): slides from side to side.
Every platform wears out: it holds for 2 bounces, then breaks. After the first bounce it shows red cracks and shakes, so you know the next bounce is its last. The higher you go, the farther apart the platforms are and the more of them crack or move.
Upgrades
Every run pays money for the distance Super Pig flies: the higher he gets, the more he earns, and you get a big cash bonus the first time you reach a new level. Watch the $ counter climb as you fly, then spend it in the Pig Shop:
- Cannon Power: a faster launch from the cannon.
- Strong Legs: higher bounces from every platform. You need these to cross the wide gaps in deep space.
- Aerodynamics: less air drag, so you keep more speed in the atmosphere.
- Super Cape: spread the cape and glide, so you fall slower and have more time to steer onto a platform and save yourself.
- Rocket Boots: hold BOOST to fly upward until the fuel runs out. They can save you from a fall. Once you own them, rare red fuel tanks float in the sky: grab one to refill 1/10 of your fuel.
- Boot Power: stronger rocket boots, so you climb faster while boosting.
- Fuel Finder: fuel tanks show up more often.
- Bigger Tanks: each fuel tank refills more, up to 1/5 of your fuel.
- Lucky Springs: more trampolines and Super P pads, and stronger trampolines.
- Super P Pad: Super P pads launch you even higher.
- Bubble Shield: a bubble catches you when you would fall back to Earth: one save per level, every run.
Levels
There are 15 levels: the Farm, Cloud Sky, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, Thermosphere, Low Orbit, the Moon, Mars, the Asteroid Belt, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, the Kuiper Belt, and finally the Milky Way beyond the solar system. The height counter shows how far you would really be from Earth.
Tips
- Start steering toward the next platform as soon as you bounce. You have the most time while rising.
- A perfect cannon shot carries you much farther. Upgrade Aerodynamics along with Cannon Power, because a fast pig loses a lot of speed to air drag.
- Save your rocket boots for when you are falling and there is no platform below you.
- Platforms break after 2 bounces (cracked ones after 1), so keep climbing instead of bouncing in place, and remember that worn-out platforms won't be there to catch you if you fall.
